Welcome to the West Berkshire ME and FM Group Website
The aim of our Group is to get people together who have been affected by ME (also known as CFS) and/or Fibromyalgia (FM), and other related conditions. This includes those suffering severe to mild symptoms, those recovering or in remission, as well as their friends, family and carers.
We hope to provide advice and support in a friendly environment where we can discuss relevant topics or just chat generally, without having to worry that people won't understand if members cannot fully participate - as well as continuing to provide a monthly drop-in centre with yummy tea and biscuits.
The group meets on the second Friday of every month: 10.30am to 12.30pm at the residential lounge of Marshalls Court, Speen Lane, Speen - Map
Dates of our next meetings:
Friday 9th May 10:30-12:30pm
Friday 13th June 10:30-12:30pm
Tea, coffee, biscuits and healthy snacks are available during the meeting
Talks, coffee mornings and pub evenings are also organised throughout each month (see events page for full list of meetings and events).
All new members welcome - Please contact Lindsey for further information - or just turn up on the day.
We also publish a monthly newsletter which highlights subjects for discussion at the monthly meetings and enables you to keep in touch with the group even if you cannot attend.
ME is also known as:
- Myalgic Encephalopathy (ME)
- Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS)
- Post-Viral Fatigue Syndrome (PVFS)
- Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction Syndrome (CFIDS)
Fibromyalgia (FM) is a condition that is closely related to ME and sufferers share many of the same symptoms.
See the links section in order to access further information about ME and Fibromyalgia.
